2011-2012 Scholarship program for masters and doctoral in Theoretical and Computational Chemistry at University of Calgary, Canada

Scholarship Description: Up to 4 graduate student positions in theoretical and computational chemistry will become available in my group by May 2011, September 2011 or January 2012. The successful applicants will be involved with the development of new computational methods or applications of state-of-the-art methodology to problems of chemical interest. .

The applicant should have a solid background in Physical Chemistry, and a strong interest in Theoretical/Computational Chemistry as well as an average GPA corresponding to 3.5/4.0 (80 %) or more in the North American system. All foreign students will be covered by an inexpensive medical insurance. Students will be fully supported by teaching assistance ships and scholarships for a total of $ 22,000 to $24,000 CDN. The tuition fee is covered by additional research grants

Admissions Dates and Timeline

The 2010-11 master program application period will open shortly. Students planning to apply should read carefully all of the information in this section. Students should also review the specific information available for each of the Barcelona GSE’s master programs as well as the Admissions FAQ page.

The Barcelona GSE has a rolling admission policy so applications are accepted throughout the year. When the total number of places in a program is covered, no more applications will be reviewed for that program. (For example, last year the Economics program closed applications on May 15). Therefore all candidates are encouraged to apply as early as possible to avoide getting closed out.

Due to visa processing time constraints, it is highly recommended that non-EU citizens submit completed applications by July 15, 2011.

German universities Scholarships

Highly qualified undergraduate students are invited to apply for scholarships funding study, senior thesis research and/or internships in Germany. The goal of this program is to support study abroad in Germany and at German universities. Preference will be given to students whose projects or programs are based at and organized by a German university.

Scholarships are available either as part of an organized study abroad program or as part of an individual, student-designed study abroad semester or year.
